The atmosphere at Ida's during dinner time was quite cozy and soothing. All of their pasta is made daily in their kitchen. I ordered their linguine with homemade meatballs and it was delicious. The meatballs were spiced well and I could taste the freshness in their pasta. It's pricey but you get what you pay for. The portions for their main pasta dishes are plentiful. The service was attentive and friendly! They have dinner specials on their chalkboard above the bar but since everything is homemade, they only have a limited amount. So if the ingredients run out for the evening, then their specials are no longer available. I would recommend Ida's for a special occasion or a date night! 2024 Update: Returned 7 years later and everything is still phenomenal! I tried the scallops and linguine marsala this time around. Delicious!
What a great place with really fresh and delicious food. Very friendly and helpful service! Update: In the few weeks I was in town I came a few times to Ida's and the staff was always friendly and food excellent. Super fresh pasta thats just so light and delicious.
Quick trip to Rhode Island and found this gem! Hands down the BEST Italian food I've ever had (hopefully my Italian in laws dont see this post lol)! So good we went there both nights we were in the area. Wonderful service, nicely decorated, huge portions and do leave room for dessert. I truly can't say enough about how wonderful this place is. Go there you won't be disappointed!!
Cozy & friendly eatery w great service. Kitchen can accommodate gluten free. Highly recommend the delicious Greek & Beet salads. Long list of entrees. Classic faves as well as unexpected dishes. Chicken entrees - parmagiana, marsala, and one w a spiced cream sauce served over biscuits all very good. Patio dining first come first serve. Some may find indoor seating too close for comfort when crowded. Restaurant fills quickly & remains busy. Recommend arriving early. Restaurant opens 4:30.
The food was impressive driving by first time here everything tastes delicious. Kelly was a great waitress. The atmosphere was great. Will come back when in town for sure.
A great Italian restaurant in the Newport area. The restaurant has a very friendly and family vibe going. The menu contains many staples of American Italian dining. The pasta is made freshly each day and you can appreciate the quality. The staff was all very polite, friendly and helpful. While I do not live in the Newport area, it is a place I would recommend to those traveling to this area, and one I hope to return to some day.

This is our go-to most Friday nights. The farmstand and roasted beet salad are yummy and their bolognese is the best we've had!
